01 / Story

Natural rubber shaped by hand.

American entrepreneur Hiram Hutchinson founded Aigle in France after licensing vulcanised-rubber technology. Its Ingrandes workshop still hand-builds selected boots through many cutting, assembly and finishing steps.

  1. Aigle begins waterproof rubber production.

  2. The company opens its Ingrandes workshop.

  3. Selected boots remain handmade there.
