What’s changing.

September 9, 2026 — Website and service privacy update

Remote page collection, background research and price offers have been retired. Existing clients receive neutral responses and those request bodies are no longer stored. Local filtering and public brand-list updates remain available. Website advertising measurement now requires a cookie choice; onboarding advertising tags have been removed.

This is a website and service update, not a new browser-extension package. Existing extension versions may still send requests. See the privacy details and instructions to disable or remove the extension.

0.7.0 — September 7, 2026

This Chrome release added server-assisted product checks and research capabilities. Those remote capabilities are now disabled by the service.

0.6.0 — More retailers

Junk Filter is expanding beyond Amazon. This release introduces beta support for six additional marketplaces: Etsy, Walmart, eBay, OTTO, Kaufland and bol.

The goal is the same on every supported retailer: reduce clutter from questionable listings while keeping recognizable brands easy to find. Because every marketplace structures its product pages differently, coverage may vary while we refine detection, verdicts and filtering for each retailer.

Amazon remains fully supported. The new retailer integrations will continue to improve through extension updates and real-world testing.
